Verna Loftis
Attorney for policyholders
Verna Loftis runs a one-lawyer office on North Walker Avenue for people and businesses whose property claim went wrong.
Verna takes one side of insurance disputes: the policyholder's. Her clients are homeowners after a hailstorm, landlords with a rental that burned, and small business owners waiting on a claim that should have been paid months ago.
She answers her own phone and her own texts. Her habit is to read the whole policy before she says anything about it, and to tell people plainly when a claim isn't worth a fight.

The office
Upstairs on North Walker Avenue
The office is a short drive from downtown, with parking out front. Most clients never need to come in: calls, texts and a secure link for papers cover nearly everything. When a meeting helps, we meet here, or at the property.
